Arbitrary file write via unchecked training path
Published Mar 19, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Path traversal in AI Hispano Applio 3.2.8-bugfix and earlier allows remote attackers to write arbitrary files to the server. train.py passes the user-controlled folder_name_input to os.path.join and copies uploaded files without confining the result to custom_embedder_root. The Gradio training interface requires no authentication, and writes are limited to paths writable by the Applio process; chaining unsafe deserialization enables code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
