Unauthenticated code execution via unsafe model loading
Published Mar 19, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Unsafe deserialization in AI Hispano Applio 3.2.8-bugfix and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a model path. The inference and text-to-speech interfaces pass a user-controlled model_file path through get_vc, which calls torch.load without weights_only=True in rvc/infer/infer.py. An unauthenticated network user who can supply a malicious PyTorch model path gains code execution with the Applio server process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
