CVE-2025-27723

Local denial of service via use-after-free

Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026

Use-after-free in Intel Ethernet 800 Series Linux kernel drivers before 2.3.14 allows local users to interrupt kernel service. Intel identifies only a stale-object access in Ring 0 and does not disclose the affected function, object lifetime, or trigger sequence. A low-privileged authenticated user needs local access and additional attack requirements; Intel does not state whether the resulting interruption is a crash or hang.
