CVE-2025-27711

Local privilege escalation via incorrect default permissions

Published Nov 11, 2025 · Updated Nov 11, 2025

Incorrect default permissions in Intel One Boot Flash Update before 14.1.31 allow local users to escalate privileges. Intel identifies the weakness only as incorrect default permissions in Ring 3 software and has not disclosed the affected file, directory, or permission setting. Exploitation requires an authenticated low-privileged user, high attack complexity, additional attack requirements, and active user interaction; success compromises the vulnerable system's confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
