Malicious driver distribution via unrestricted upload
Published Mar 5, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Unrestricted upload in Vasion Print before Virtual Appliance Host 1.0.735 or Application 20.0.1330 allows remote authenticated users to add drivers. The UPLOAD_DRIVER task packages locally selected driver contents and sends the archive to client/gateway.php without restricting dangerous file types. A regular authenticated account can place malicious executables in the driver repository for subsequent distribution to other users.
