Admin credential exposure via URL query parameters
Published Mar 5, 2025 · Updated Mar 5, 2025
Password exposure in Vasion Print Virtual Appliance Host before 22.0.843 and Application before 20.0.1923 allows attackers to recover credentials. The admin login endpoint places reversibly encoded usernames and passwords in URL query parameters instead of protecting them outside the URL. Exposure requires use of the affected login flow and grants access to the administrator password through referrer data, browser history, or intermediary and server logs.
