Pre-auth administrator takeover via unescaped IP address
Published Mar 5, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Stored XSS in Vasion Print before Virtual Appliance Host 22.0.862 and Application 20.0.2014 allows remote attackers to steal administrator cookies. The unauthenticated elatec_tcpconv2.php endpoint stores attacker-controlled ip_address data, which register_badge.php writes unescaped into an HTML input value. Execution requires an administrator to open the badge-registration page, after which the script can steal the administrator's session cookie and grant administrative access.
