Authentication bypass via hard-coded hotspot credentials
Published Apr 23, 2025 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Authentication bypass in CarlinKit CPC200-CCPA 2024.01.19.1541 allows remote attackers to bypass wireless-hotspot access controls. The wireless-hotspot configuration embeds fixed credentials that its authentication mechanism accepts instead of installation-specific secrets. Exploitation requires proximity to the hotspot and no prior authentication; public sources do not identify the services or privilege level exposed after access.
