CVE-2025-2764

Root code execution via unverified update packages

Published Apr 23, 2025 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Improper signature verification in CarlinKit CPC200-CCPA 2024.01.19.1541 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code as root through update.cgi. The update.cgi handler processes attacker-supplied update packages without properly validating their cryptographic signatures. Authentication is required but bypassable, and successful exploitation grants root-level control of the device.
