Administrator access via role-blind session cookies
Published Mar 5, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Privilege escalation in Vasion Print Application before 20.0.2614 allows remote authenticated users to gain administrator access. The /admin/ login path issues administrator-authorized session cookies to a non-administrator local account without enforcing its assigned role. The flaw also affects Virtual Appliance Host before 22.0.1002 and SaaS deployments; a regular product account suffices to upload driver packages.
