Arbitrary command execution via malformed Tcl list

OS command injection in affected Gitk 2.41.0 through 2.50.0 releases allows local users to execute attacker-supplied scripts via a crafted filename. Gitk passes newline-joined revision and file values into Tcl open without encoding the aggregate input as one list element, allowing Tcl list syntax to introduce executable arguments. Exploitation requires a cloned malicious repository and social engineering that causes the user to invoke gitk with the crafted filename; the script runs with that user's privileges.
