CVE-2025-27602Network attack vector

Unauthorized content access and deletion via duplicate identifiers

Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Mar 11, 2025

Incorrect authorization in Umbraco CMS 10.8.8 and earlier and 11.0.0-rc1 through 13.7.0 allows remote authenticated users to access restricted items. The content and media permission query-string handlers stringify multiple id values for authorization, while the controller processes only the first value, allowing a permitted duplicate identifier to mask the restricted target. A backoffice account with editor access is required; successful exploitation reads content or media outside the assigned folders or deletes those items.
