CVE-2025-27595Network attack vector

Device compromise via weak password hashing

Published Mar 14, 2025 · Updated Mar 14, 2025

Use of weak password hashing in SICK DL100 Pro all firmware versions allows remote attackers to calculate matching passwords. The device derives password hashes with an undisclosed weak algorithm, making a colliding password practical to calculate. No prior access or user interaction is required, and a matching password compromises device confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
