Stored script execution via First Name injection
Published Mar 3, 2025 · Updated Mar 4, 2025
Stored XSS in Serosoft Academia SIS EagleR 1.0.118 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via the First Name field. The /rest/staffResource/update endpoint stores a crafted First Name value and later renders it as executable script or HTML without effective neutralization. Low-privileged network access and a subsequent page view are required; execution occurs in the viewing user's browser context and can read or alter accessible page data.
