CVE-2025-27581Network attack vector

Authenticated InET access via unenforced role checks

Published Apr 23, 2025 · Updated Apr 24, 2025

Authorization bypass in NIH BRICS through 14.0.0-67 allows remote authenticated users to access the InET module. Known InET endpoints accept direct requests without enforcing the user's InET role, allowing the module's role check to be bypassed. Any BRICS account without that role can reach restricted module functionality; public sources do not specify which operations or data become accessible.
