Unauthenticated email disclosure via password reset requests
Published Apr 15, 2025 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Authorization bypass in Growatt Cloud portal before 3.6.0 allows remote attackers to disclose users' email addresses using known usernames. The password-reset workflow accepts a user-controlled username and reveals the associated email address without authenticating the requester. No account access is required; the demonstrated consequences are email-address disclosure and an unsolicited password-reset email, not account takeover.
