Stored script execution via unneutralized nickname
Published Mar 28, 2025 · Updated Mar 28, 2025
Stored XSS in KDDI HGW-BL1500HM 002.002.003 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run scripts through NickName registration. The NickName registration handler stores attacker-controlled text and later renders it without neutralizing executable browser content. Exploitation requires LAN-side access, the Quick Settings Web password, and a user to open an affected page; the script then runs in that page's browser context.
