Extension disclosure via REST path-filter bypass
Published Jun 10, 2025 · Updated Jun 10, 2025
Missing authorization in GeoServer before 2.25.6 and 2.26.0 through 2.26.2 allows remote attackers to view the REST API index. The default security path matcher protects /rest and its subpaths but fails to match extension-suffixed forms such as /rest.html. No authentication is required; a crafted request reveals which GeoServer extensions are installed without permitting data changes or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
