Authenticated remote code execution via use-after-free
Published Apr 8, 2025 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Use-after-free in Microsoft Windows Hyper-V allows remote authenticated users with guest privileges to execute code over a network. Microsoft has not published the affected Hyper-V object or the lifetime-management error that leaves it accessible after release. Exploitation requires guest access and user interaction with a malicious link, after which code executes on the affected system.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
