Stored XSS via ZIP-contained SVG retrieval
Published Mar 24, 2025 · Updated Dec 27, 2025
Stored XSS in Kentico Xperience through 13.0.178 allows remote attackers to run script in a victim's browser via a crafted upload. The unauthenticated MultiFileUploader handler stores an allowed ZIP in a predictable temporary path, and GetResource.ashx extracts an embedded SVG and serves it with an executable image MIME type. A victim must open the crafted resource URL; the embedded JavaScript then executes in that victim's browser context.
