Stored XSS via unescaped template color
Published Mar 26, 2025 · Updated Mar 26, 2025
Stored XSS in Icinga Reporting 0.10.0 through 1.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through template colors. The CoverPage widget inserted the configured color into a nonce-bearing style without HTML escaping, while TemplateForm accepted colon-bearing CSS values. Template-management privileges are required; previewing a malicious template runs code as the viewer, while PDF generation runs it in the server-side headless browser and can issue SSRF requests.
