Authenticated code execution via unsanitized user creation
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Mar 11, 2025
OS command injection in Siemens SCALANCE LPE9403 before 4.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code during user creation. The user-creation path passes insufficiently sanitized user-controlled values into an operating-system command. Administrator rights are required to create users, so exploitation requires a highly privileged account and can compromise the device.
