Stored XSS via unsanitized schematic descriptions
Published Jan 22, 2026 · Updated Jan 22, 2026
Stored XSS in the BOM Viewer in Altium On-Prem Enterprise Server 7.0.3 through 7.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript. The viewer stores a schematic Description field without sanitizing all fields and executes an embedded JavaScript payload when rendering the BOM. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to create or alter a schematic and another user to view it, exposing that viewer’s browser session to attacker-controlled script actions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
