Stored script execution via forged settings update
Published Feb 24, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Wumii Related Posts 1.0.5.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through a forged administrator request. The settings-update function accepts a request without valid nonce verification and stores script-bearing values that later reach page output without safe encoding. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to perform an attacker-induced action, after which the stored script executes in visitor browsers.
