CVE-2025-27238Hinoki check available

Authenticated host prototype disclosure via missing group authorization

Published Sep 12, 2025 · Updated Sep 12, 2025

Improper access control in Zabbix 7.0.0 through 7.0.13 and 7.2.0 through 7.2.7 allows remote authenticated users to read host prototypes. The API's hostprototype.get authorization path fails to reject accounts without user-group assignments and returns every host prototype. A low-privilege account with API access and no assigned user group is required; no ability to modify data or interrupt service is reported.

Exploitability

Present is not the same as exploitable

Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
