Administrator browser script execution via unsanitized compact parameter
Published Oct 30, 2025 · Updated Oct 30, 2025
Reflected XSS in Revive Adserver 5.5.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a crafted compact parameter. The admin-search.php script places the compact GET value into HTML, JavaScript, or CSS output without sanitization. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to visit the crafted URL; scripts run in that browser context, but the session cookie remains inaccessible.
