User-assisted code execution via out-of-bounds write
Published Apr 8, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe After Effects through 24.6.4 or 25.1 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via a malicious file. Adobe has not published the affected parser, file format, or the bounds-checking error that permits attacker-controlled data to be written outside its intended buffer. Exploitation requires a victim to open the file and runs code in that user's context, limiting the consequence to the victim's existing permissions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
