Current-user code execution via use-after-free
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Mar 11, 2025
Use-after-free in Adobe Substance 3D Modeler 1.15.0 and earlier allows attackers to execute code when a user opens a malicious file. Adobe has not disclosed the affected parser, object lifetime, or sequence that causes Modeler to access memory after freeing it. Exploitation requires user interaction and runs code with the current user's privileges, bounding impact to that user's security context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
