Application crash via malicious file processing
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Mar 11, 2025
NULL pointer dereference in Adobe Illustrator 2025 29.2.1 and earlier and 2024 28.7.4 and earlier allows attackers to crash it via a malicious file. Adobe has not disclosed the file parser or code path that dereferences the null pointer while processing the crafted file. Exploitation requires a victim to open the file, and the documented consequence is an application crash without confidentiality or integrity impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
