CVE-2025-2717Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via target_addr injection

Published Mar 24, 2025 · Updated Mar 25, 2025

OS command injection in the D-Link DIR-823X 240126 and 240802 diag_nslookup handler allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The sub_41710C function in /goform/diag_nslookup fails to neutralize command syntax in the target_addr argument before invoking an operating-system command. Administrative access to the web interface is required; successful injection permits command execution within the router process, enabling direct data access or modification and service interruption.
