Arbitrary code execution via out-of-bounds write
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Illustrator 29.2.1 and earlier allows attackers to execute code when a malicious file is opened. The malformed file triggers a memory write beyond its intended bounds, but Adobe has not disclosed the affected parser, file format, or incorrect bounds operation. A victim must open the file in Illustrator; successful exploitation runs code in that user's context, and Illustrator 2024 28.7.4 and earlier is also affected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
