Code execution via out-of-bounds file parsing
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Acrobat Reader 25.001.20428 and earlier allows attackers to execute code after a user opens a crafted file. The crafted-file parsing path reads past the end of an allocated memory structure instead of enforcing the allocation boundary. Successful exploitation requires user interaction and runs code with the current user's privileges.
