Current-user code execution via unchecked Annotation access
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Use-after-free in Adobe Acrobat Reader allows remote attackers to execute code as the current user via a malicious page or file. Annotation handling performs operations on an object without first verifying that the object still exists, permitting access after its memory is freed. The victim must visit the page or open the file; successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied code with the Reader process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
