Privilege escalation via unencoded order narrative
Published Mar 24, 2025 · Updated Mar 25, 2025
Stored XSS in webERP 5.0.0.rc+13 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run script in an administrator's browser via an order narrative. ConfirmDispatch_Invoice.php replaces line breaks in the Narrative value but renders the remaining HTML and JavaScript without output encoding. An Inquiries or Order Entry user must save the payload and persuade an administrator to open the invoice page; the script can then use the administrator's session to create a System Administrator account.
