Cross-site scripting via replacement-token expansion

Cross-site scripting in DOM Expressions before 0.39.5 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via crafted asset attributes. The server-side injectAssets path passes attacker-controlled output as the replacement string to String.replace, so special dollar-prefixed tokens splice surrounding HTML into the result. Exposure requires an application, such as a solid-meta deployment, to place user-controlled data in an asset tag; the resulting script runs in a visitor's browser and can be stored.
