Authenticated code execution via uploaded archive filename
Published Feb 21, 2025 · Updated Feb 22, 2025
OS command injection in Chris Leekr Binance Trading Bot before 0.0.100 allows remote authenticated users to execute code on the host. The restore handler embeds the uploaded archive filename in a command string passed to shell.exec after only path normalization, allowing shell metacharacters to alter the command. A valid authentication token and access to the restore endpoint are required; successful exploitation runs commands with the application's host privileges.
