CVE-2025-27092Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Server file disclosure via unchecked photo path

Published Feb 19, 2025 · Updated Feb 20, 2025

Path traversal in GHOSTS API 8.0.0 and later, before 8.2.7.90 allows remote authenticated users to read server files. NpcsGetAvatarById opens the NPC photoLink with FileStream without confirming that the resolved path remains inside the application directory or has an image extension. Exploitation requires permission to create an NPC with a traversal-bearing photoLink and then request its photo; returned data is limited to files readable by the API service account.
