Local memory corruption via oversized decode values
Published Jul 8, 2025 · Updated Jul 8, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Qualcomm Snapdragon video firmware allows local users to corrupt memory via oversized timestamp decode values. The timestamp video decode command processes large input values without keeping a write within its intended buffer. Low-privileged local access is required; successful exploitation can expose or alter data and interrupt service, but Qualcomm has not published the resulting failure mode.
