CVE-2025-27037

Local memory corruption via premature CPU buffer release

Published Sep 24, 2025 · Updated Sep 24, 2025

Use-after-free in the Qualcomm Snapdragon camera driver allows local users to corrupt memory through a crafted config_dev IOCTL. The driver drops its reference to CPU buffers while the IOCTL is still being processed, permitting subsequent access to released storage. Low-privileged local access is required; the disclosed consequence is memory corruption, and Qualcomm does not specify whether exploitation yields code execution or a crash.
