Stored XSS via unescaped clickToTweet attributes
Published Feb 22, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Warfare Plugins Social Warfare 4.5.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script in visitors' browsers. The clickToTweet shortcode accepts theme and tweet attributes without adequate sanitization and emits them into HTML without context-appropriate escaping. Low-privileged access to save crafted shortcode content and a separate user's interaction with the rendered page are required; injected script runs in that user's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
