CVE-2025-26849Public exploit

Inventory data disclosure via static encryption key

Published Mar 4, 2025 · Updated Mar 5, 2025

Hard-coded key use in Docusnap 13.0.1440.24261 allows local users to decrypt Windows inventory files obtained from a shared folder. CryptoWinImport.DecryptScript uses the same static AES key for every installation, and the key can be recovered from the downloadable .NET server assembly. Read access to an inventory share is required; exposed XML can reveal installed software, local administrators, and firewall rules.
