Administrative access via unchanged default credentials

Published Feb 15, 2025 · Updated Feb 24, 2025

Use of a default password in Hirsch Enterphone MESH 10.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to access its administration console. The mesh.webadmin.MESHAdminServlet login accepts the shipped freedom/viscount credentials because initial configuration does not force their replacement. Internet exposure and retention of the defaults are required; successful access exposes resident PII and administrative building-access controls.
