CVE-2025-26788Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account takeover via unbound named-credential assertion

Published Feb 14, 2025 · Updated Feb 15, 2025

Authorization bypass in StrongKey FIDO Server 4.10.0 through 4.15.0 allows remote authenticated users to take over user accounts. During named-credential authentication, the authenticate phase fails to bind the requested username to the credential signing the assertion, so an attacker's valid passkey is accepted. Exploitation requires a registered attacker and a relying application that ignores the authenticated username returned by SKFS, granting the victim's account privileges.
