Code execution via use-after-free memory access
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Feb 13, 2026
Use-after-free in Microsoft Office Access allows remote attackers to execute code locally after a user opens a crafted file. Microsoft identifies reuse of freed memory but has not disclosed the affected Access parser, object-lifetime error, or crafted file structure that triggers it. Exploitation requires user interaction and runs code in the user's local security context, exposing data and resources accessible to that account.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
