Stored XSS via forged settings request
Published Feb 13, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in badrHan Naver Syndication V2 0.8.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through a forged settings request. A settings handler performs missing or incorrect WordPress nonce validation before accepting attacker-controlled settings and storing script content. Exploitation requires an administrator to follow an attacker-supplied link or take an equivalent action, after which the stored script executes in a visitor's browser.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
