CVE-2025-26500

Physical denial of service via crafted USB packets

Published Mar 21, 2025 · Updated Mar 24, 2025

Uncontrolled resource consumption in Wind River Systems VxWorks 7 22.06 through 24.03 allows attackers to interrupt service via crafted USB packets. VxWorks USB packet processing allocates excessive resources when handling specially crafted packets; Wind River has not identified the resource or code locus. Physical access to the target's USB interface is required, and successful exploitation makes the system unavailable rather than exposing or altering data.
