Session impersonation via token-refresh race
Published Sep 11, 2025 · Updated Sep 11, 2025
Authentication race in Wind River Studio Developer 24.11 allows local users to receive another user's active session token. Under extreme load, concurrent authentication or token-refresh operations can associate a newly issued token with the wrong logged-in user. The event is random and requires coincident activity by two users; the unintended session grants the other user's rights and data access until it ends.
