Unauthenticated file placement via absolute path traversal
Published Aug 22, 2025 · Updated Aug 25, 2025
Dangerous file upload in Salesforce Tableau Server allows remote attackers to place files at absolute paths through Flow Editor on affected releases. Flow Editor accepts an uploaded file with an attacker-controlled absolute path that escapes its intended storage location; Salesforce has not disclosed the responsible endpoint or validation logic. The network vector requires no privileges or user interaction and affects releases before 2025.1.3, before 2024.2.12, and before 2023.3.19.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
