Improper access control in Wattsense Bridge allows physically proximate attackers to read and modify device firmware. The JTAG signals on the MYIR MYC-Y6ULX system-on-module are exposed at stamp-hole pins, remain unlocked, and accept a J-Link adapter with OpenOCD for firmware read, write, and debug access. Exploitation requires opening the appliance, reaching its processing PCB, and soldering to five JTAG pins; successful access grants full control of the device.
