Remote SQL execution via exposed SQL Express
Published Jan 30, 2026 · Updated Jan 30, 2026
Command injection in Johnson Controls Metasys SQL Express deployments allows remote attackers to execute SQL over TCP port 1433. Johnson Controls has not disclosed the affected routine or how network input reaches SQL execution in the bundled database configuration. Exposure requires an affected SQL Express deployment to accept inbound connections on TCP port 1433, and exploitation can alter or delete data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=Application and Data Server (ADS) installed with SQL Express deployed as part of the Metasys 14.1 and prior installation
